For rainy evenings, you’ll also find a deep sheltered canopy, where you can enjoy a glass of wine and watch raindrops across the lagoon. Before curling up in front of the fire.

PRACTICALITIES

We understand that home comforts are important when renting a holiday home. Which is why you'll find a sprawling kitchen, equipped with everything you could need. As well as a washing machine and drying cabinet. Coffee lover? Start your day with a delicate espresso from your Gagia coffee machine.

There is parking for up to three cars.

A highchair and travel cot is available on request. However, the property has water on three sides and is not guarded. Children must be supervised at all times when on the deck.

No matter when you have planned your stay, Backwater is designed with total relaxation in mind. In summer, explore the wild waterways and dine on the sun-soaked deck. During winter, soak in the bath and curl up by the fire with panoramic views of the countryside.

The lagoon that surrounds Backwater stretches across three sides of the house. The ground floor bedrooms open onto the east deck, while the lounge opens onto the west deck. If you’re an early bird, step out onto the southern deck through the dining room and enjoy your coffee watching the sunrise behind the lagoon.

With ample room for you to moor your own boat across the east deck, you can also start your day with a gentle boat ride.

Backwater has four bedrooms: a king, a double and two twin rooms, comfortably sleeping eight. In the master bedroom, you can stretch out across luxury bedding and enjoy a walk-in rainforest shower in your ensuite. Or have a long soak in the main bathroom while you gaze out at the lagoon.
